Built in 1925 as the bowling club pavilion, La Petite Petanque is perched on the side of the manicured lawn of the Alexandra Bowling Green. This unique restaurant still has many of the original features, including the Parquet flooring, Art Deco iron-work shutters and Crittall windows and doors. The setting, decor and homemade food combine to make the perfect location to meet friends and loved ones and enjoy breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea or an evening meal.

Set in the heart of the community of the conservation area in Cambridge Square, we like to think that we bring a little slice of Petite sunshine whatever the weather. The picturesque terrace is the perfect suntrap, with the perfect view across the bowling green. Our mission is to serve excellent food and beverages to our customers with a friendly first-class service.

Our venue has the quintessential essence for the great British pastime, the traditional Afternoon Tea, but equally serves imaginative homemade fresh food for everyone to enjoy. Between the nostalgic past and the modern inclusive menus that guarantee all dietary needs are catered for, diners leave feeling relaxed and charmed.

On Friday and Saturday evenings the restaurant transforms into a cultural hub and candle lit dining experience with specially designed menus and events with local artists, authors, and musicians.
